Week 31 – Possible future selves

Career Development Framework

In this unit, we ask students to think about what their future life may look like. By projecting forward, they are learning to think about the consequences of their choices, and may begin to build an understanding that decisions they take during and just after school will impact what is possible down the track.

Through this unit, students begin to think beyond what they had expected for their lives, and start to workshop a range of alternative possible futures. We also ask them to think about what matters to them, and the type of lifestyle they want to live, as these factors will influence their decision making.
