Week 33 – Unexpected change

Career Development Framework

In this unit, we ask students to think about how unexpected changes might affect them in the future. With advances in technology the world of work is has changed rapidly over the last few decades, and will continue to change in the future. So what might these changes mean for your career in five, ten or even twenty years’ time?

Through this unit, students begin to think about how to deal with unexpected changes, and start to workshop ways they can future-proof their careers. We also ask them to think about whether their future chosen job might be at risk of automation, and the skills that will be valuable no matter what changes.
