This unit builds on work in the previous few units, and asks young people to consider the things they can do while they’re still at school to start building on their future careers. Many students may not know that there are lots of accessible skill building and training options available for young people, and leave this important skill building until later. This could mean they are lacking some of the crucial skills and experience required to find work compared to their peers.
In this unit, we’ve pulled together some resources which help young people understand what they can do right now to start building their skills and knowledge. We’ve provided some questions to stimulate reflection and thinking, and explained some simple concepts with the aim of expanding their thinking.
