My Resilience Strategy

To create a resilience strategy, you need to know the types of activities, things, and mindsets that have helped you deal with and overcome stressful situations in the past.

Ask students to start by thinking about a time when they have faced a difficult or stressful situation, and then identify what it was that helped them overcome it. Not all coping mechanisms are positive, so remind them that harmful behaviours (ie. overeating, drug or alcohol abuse etc.) shouldn’t form part of a resilience strategy.

Teacher Notes
This sheet gives young people a place to record the activities and things that form part of their resilience strategy. Use it in conjunction with the interactive Year 10 lesson, or combine with a wellbeing program.
