This exercise asks students to think about the impact of their subconscious bias and stereotypical beliefs on their subject selection decisions. It is particularly useful for Year 10 students, but can be used by other year levels if they are choosing subjects for Year 9 and 10, or courses for TAFE or university.

This short activity could be conducted in class or a mentor session, or students could be given the opportunity to reflect at home.
