We've got big plans
Join us as we journey towards a place where young people are supported to build their own career story. We’re working on two major projects:
Ponder Program
We’re building out the Ponder Program and extending it to support more students in more places
Career Clusters
We’re developing the Career Cluster resources, creating a new student profile report, and supporting schools to start using the Clusters throughout their curriculum
Stage 1 is complete, so now we’re working on what comes next.

Stage 1
Ponder Program & Career Cluster Quiz - COMPLETE
- Career Development Framework - Secondary Ponder Program Resources - Career Cluster Research Report - Career Cluster Quiz It took us almost two years to plan, prepare, and produce the Ponder Program and Career Cluster resources. Using an iterative, design-research process we built and tested both programs in schools, and we've been overwhelmed by the positive response both have received. The Ponder Program includes a full scope and sequence for building career management competency throughout secondary school, as well as a full suite of engaging and easy to use resources that can be delivered by teachers with support from a career teacher or other transitions and pathways staff member. For Stage 1 of the Career Clusters, we've researched the framework, created and tested a short, simple-to-use quiz, and developed a resource pack to help schools use the quiz and Clusters.

Stage 2
Resources for Individuals - IN PROGRESS
- Career Cluster Results Report for Students - Enhanced Student Cluster Data - Career Counselling Resources - Monthly Professional Development Webinar Series In this phase, we're focusing on creating resources to support career conversations with the Career Clusters. This includes integrating the Clusters into the Ponder Program resources, so the conversation can start to take place in the classroom, as well as a suite of resources for one-on-one counselling post-quiz. We'll also be offering regular Professional Development sessions so you can feel comfortable talking about the Clusters with your students, and we're working on enhancing way we share data from your students with you (while, as always, prioritising data security).

Stage 3
Resources for Schools
- School Career Event Resources - Ponder Parents - Ponder Primary In Stage 3, we'll be building resources including videos, slideshows, and activities to help you deliver powerful career events within your school community. Ponder Parents is designed to help caregivers and significant adults support their children throughout the career development journey (and may end up building parental career competency at the same time). We'll be creating a series of informational presentations you can use as the framework for your own events. Ponder Primary is all about broadening horizons. We'll be building a suite of resources for primary and early childhood educators that integrate the Career Clusters and support younger children as they begin to build their Vocational Identity.

Future Plans
- Detailed Student Data for Schools - Careers in the Curriculum It's important that we don't try to set limits on what the future might bring, but we are aiming to support schools with more comprehensive datasets that support decision making around transitions and pathways, and we're also interested in exploring how we might embed career-related learning within the Curriculum.
